On Sunday 20th August, at the church of Sts. Constantine and Helene, the procession of Panagia's epitaphio took place at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy.

Our Sunday School students were also part of the procession holding a white candle and a rose in their hand. During the procession, our church choir, under the direction of Dr. John Stamatis, chanted the third stanza of the Lamentations. Special thanks to John Stamatis for doing an amazing job with the epitaphio flowers this year. Hronnia Polla to everyone.

It is interesting to note that the orthodox liturgical calendar ends with the Dormition/Falling Asleep of the Mother of God (15th August) and commences with the Birth of the Virgin Mary on September 8th.
